We made sure sick kids were seen and heard.

Cocogun, Scoundrel, Rumble and Zenith teamed up to help reconnect seriously sick kids with school. The "Don't You Forget About Me" campaign raises awareness of MissingSchool's revolutionary Seen & Heard initiative that helps seriously sick children stay connected to education and their friends. With over $1.5M of free media inventory, this campaign is the first national campaign for MissingSchool.

We helped normalise mental health challenges.

UM, BMF and several brand partners teamed up together for a unique campaign that saw traditional retail ads taken over by the 'inner voices' of the narrator. The clever campaign highlights how everyone can have mental health challenges and empowers young people to speak up when they need help. With over $2.5M of media inventory donated already, this campaign will help smash the stigma around mental health far and wide.

We gave our hearts to HeartKids.

Initiative and Cocogun teamed up to make this year's Valentine's Day a special one. With a brand new creative concept and strategy created by Cocogun, we asked people to spread love, instead of chocolates. The campaign was supported with over $9M worth of pro-bono media inventory and it helped HeartKids raised over $500K to help children born with congenital heart disease.

We made kindness headline news.

VMLY&R and Wavemaker teamed up to create an innovative new campaign for Kindness Factory - a Public Service Announcement for kindness. Wavemaker secured over $5.5M worth of media inventory to help spread kindness across Australia.

We helped put laughter and play in place of pain.

Nibble Digital, Match & Wood and several media owners united to launch the first-ever national fundraising campaign for Radio Lollipop with over $2.6M of media donated. Radio Lollipop is a volunteer-based organisation that provides care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospital through one-on-one interaction and nightly live radio broadcasts.

We helped instill a love of learning for children in foster care.

OMD brought the media industry together once again to support the National Pyjama Day campaign for The Pyjama Foundation, raising funds to help improve literacy for children in foster care. Thanks to OMD and the generous media owners, over $4.5M of media inventory was donated for the campaign, helping The Pyjama Foundation raise over $800K!

UnLtd: Giving

Thanks to the generosity of our industry, this year we made some BIG dreams come true for our charity partners and the young people they support.

We helped build a farm for kids doing it tough in rural Australia.

At the Big Dream in 2022, the industry got together to pledge funds for BackTrack to build a farm for the young people they support. Not only will this farm provide safe accommodation for young people who have nowhere else to go, it also provides practical hands-on training and employment opportunities.

We created a legacy to help young LGBTIQ+ individuals realise their potential.

In memory of industry pioneer Sam Smith, who sadly lost his life in 2020, UnLtd joined forces with The Pinnacle Foundation to set up a special scholarship for young LGBTIQ+ Australians in the fields of marketing, advertising, technology or communication. The first scholar was welcomed this year as Alicia Herrera. Thanks to the generosity of the industry, and those who knew Sam, the scholarship has already raised over $200K meaning that the scholarship will be funded in perpetuity, leaving a lasting legacy for Sam.

"You have created a scholarship so rewarding that I believe it will change my life forever and many more other individuals as well. Being awarded the Sam Smith scholarship and continuing his legacy of being an outstanding person in the industry is a great honor for me.
-Alicia Herrera, Sam Smith Scholarship recipient 2023

We helped fund a safe place for hundreds of kids in rural Australia.

Thanks to the generosity of Nine and support by PHD, LeaderLife in Dubbo and Down The Track in Lake Cargelligo are able to continue their operations for 3 more years! The work they do is life-saving, providing kids from mostly First Nations backgrounds a safe place to go to, an opportunity to heal and learn and to provide them with practical skills to help them complete training and gain employment.

We climbed 3 peaks to raise $100K for vulnerable young people.

50 people across the advertising industry in VIC and NSW pushed their physical and mental limits to climb 3 of the highest mountains in Australia in under 33 hours to support the important work Whitelion do with young people at risk. The UnLtd Bushrangers raised over $100K for Whitelion.

UnLtd: Mind

Mental health is a big focus for us and our partners and this year we've helped smash the stigma around mental health, sold tea that saves lives and trained 160 people across the industry with key mental health first aid skills.

We sold 1.3m teabags to fight youth suicide.

MOOD Tea is our industry's first ever social enterprise selling tea that looks good, tastes good and does good with all profits going to fund youth mental health projects. In FY23 we launched MOOD Tea in Woolworths across the country. So far, we have sold over 1.3 million teabags and we're only getting started! In June 2023, we extended the range with our new English Breakfast - Jolly Good, available now at your local Woolies.

More about MOOD Tea

We trained 160 people across the industry in Mental Health First Aid.

Together with Bare Feat, we trained over 400 people in Mental Health First Aid, giving people the ability to spot and support colleagues dealing with mental ill health. We also continued the Mentally Healthy research, to study the current wellbeing of our industry and how we can all create a more Mentally Healthy industry.
